For the past six years we have had a family of Ospreys nest on our farm. They returned this year on April 5 and are busy preparing to raise their new family. Ospreys migrate from Mexico to Canada every year. They only eat fish and love to fish in the river close to the farm. Watch our live web cam to see the growth of our osprey babies and see them learn to fly in August.
Imagine sitting under the breezeway sipping a glass of robust Okanagan wine. You can hear the ducks quacking in the nearby stream and enjoy the feel of the light breeze from the creek. Last summer we had a nest of three osprey babies born and raised on the farm. They flew away in September and the mating pair are now back busy building their nest.
Join us at Elm Tree Farm Bed and Breakfast located two miles north of Oliver, BC, Wine Capital of Canada. We are a ten acre working hay farm and offer privacy in a country setting. The B and B units are located in a separate building close to the creek allowing for bird watching and relaxation.
The units are new and beautifully decorated. We have air conditioning and a cool breezeway to sit out on, or take a glass of wine to our bird blind and relax watching the ducks and other birds in the creek.
The two adjoining rooms each have a large bedroom with a queen sized bed and private full bathroom. They share a cozy kitchen and living room area that opens on to the breezeway. The kitchen is self contained with a full sized fridge, stove and microwave. Cable television and wireless internet are provided. There is a double bed sized futon in the living area so if one group of six wanted to rent the unit ample sleeping is available. However each room of the two private rooms are available individually as well. There is a hot tub on the deck between the two buildings.
